Restrictions
The contest is open to North Carolina
residents who are 21 years of age or older. Employees of Carolina Ale House, Prestige
Farms, Coors Light, its corporate entities, affiliated advertising agencies,
participating sponsors/promotional partners and the members of their immediate
families are ineligible to participate or win.
All contestants must be physically able to participate in the contest and must certify prior to participation that there is no physical, psychological, medical or other reason (i.e. heart condition, diabetes, food allergies, etc.) as to why the rapid consumption of a large quantity of food would adversely affect their health. All contestants must sign a participant release prior to participating in any portion of the contest. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification. Carolina Ale House reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify a contestant(s) if he or she tries to publicize another business through their clothing or through what they say into the microphone during the contest. In addition, Carolina Ale House reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify a contestant(s) for disruptive behavior. All contestants must be a legal US Citizen. Professional eaters, persons recognized by AICE, the IFOCE or members of any professional eating organization or participants in any professional eating competition are not eligible. The decision of professional eater status will be determined by a Wing Fling Contest Official and is final.
Prizes
All participants in the Wing Fling Contest will receive a souvenir from
Carolina Ale House.
Up to eight (8) contestants in the "Preliminary" heats of the semi-finals will compete in head to head competition at the discretion of Carolina Ale House. There will be a maximum of four preliminary heats. A winner from each heat will be declared and then will move on to the final heat of the semi-finals. Each of the contestants in the final round of each semi-final competition will be awarded a $10 certificate to Carolina Ale House.
The contestant that eats the most wings in weight as described in the rules below in the Final Round of the each of the semi-finals of the Wing FlingContest will advance to the Finale at Carolina Ale House at Brier Creek on November 30, 2010 and will also be awarded a $25 certificate to Carolina Ale House.
On November 30 at Brier Creek, the winners from each of the semi-final events will face off in the Finale. The person who eats the most wings (by weight) will win the Grand Prize of the Ultimate Man Cave courtesy of Miller Lite (50” HDTV, Surround Sound System, Foosball Table and Kegerator), Coors Light Beer, Carolina Ale House Wings for a Year, and a Trophy.
The runner up will win Carolina Ale House Wings for a Year and a Trophy.
The Wing Fling Contest first place prizes will be awarded upon the determination that one of the competition contestants has successfully consumed the most chicken wings in weight within the allotted time periods.
All prizes or prize will be distributed at the event or may be picked up at the office of LM Restaurants, 5404 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27606. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within 30 days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted. No cash value.

Selection
of Winners
Selection of participants, decisions regarding the number of participants,
determination of winners and all other decisions of Carolina Ale House
management & Ron the Ref with respect to the contest are final.
Wing Fling Contest Rules
Semi-Finals
During the Wing Fling semi-finals at each Carolina Ale House location, both the
“Preliminary” heats and the final heat will be 5-minutes long. In between heats, there will be a total of
one (1) 10-minute break followed by "if necessary" 2-minute
"wing –offs" during which tied competitors will compete to eat as
many chicken wings in weight as possible.
Note: All heats of Wing Fling semi-finals and the final heat of the Wing
Fling semi-finals will follow the same rules.
All plates will be weighed before given to competitors by a Carolina Ale House official.
Prior to the start of the competition, contestants will witness a demonstration of the minimum amount of meat that must be eaten on a wing in order for it to be counted in the final tally. Contestants who do not meet the minimum requirement will be given one warning, after which they will be penalized for each wing that is not properly and fully eaten. Ron the Ref will have the final say on the number of penalty points (wings) assessed.
There will be three pounds of wings given to each contestant in the semi-final heats and two pounds of wings given to each contestant in the final heat of the semi-final rounds. Chicken meat must be eaten directly from the bones. Stripping the bones of meat first and eating the meat at one time will not be allowed. Napkins in any form are not allowed. If a contestant leaves the wing-eating area for any reason during the contest, or eats any wings between periods, he or she will be disqualified from further competition. If the contestant eats wings too slowly (as decided by Ron the Ref), he or she will be disqualified.
Competitors may not make physical contact with other contestants at any time, any contestant who deliberately makes contact with another contestant will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Carolina Ale House and Ron the Ref. If a contestant purges or vomits at any point during the competition, he will immediately be disqualified.
Finale
Only winners from each semi-final competition will be allowed to participate in the Finale at Brier Creek. The Finale Round will be 5 minutes long, followed by "if necessary" 2-minute "wing –offs" during which tied competitors will compete to eat as many chicken wings in weight as possible.

Conditions
By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their
name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material
relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release confirming such
consent prior to the acceptance of the prize.
Competition winner will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation whether or not such transportation is provided by Carolina Ale House. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to hold Carolina Ale House, its corporate licensee, its parent corporation, LM Restaurants, Inc., affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the competition.
Carolina Ale House reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the competition, which will become effective upon announcement.
No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of Carolina Ale House.
Carolina Ale House is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
