Terry Zook (Part 6)So please don't hold it against us that we've only eaten there once so far, because we will definitely be back soon and we are indeed...YOUR BIGGEST FANS!!!! P.S. We shared our take-out box with our fuzzy Jack Russell Terrier and based on his beggin', whinin' and copious droolin', he counts himself amongst your biggest fans as well!!!

Terry Zook (Part 5)The best part of our experience was when we got our check. We couldn't believe how reasonable the entire meal was...in fact...I'd go as far as to say we were outright stunned....like a 'possum in the headlights...if we'd of had tails they'd of been stuck straight out!!! I'd say the whole experience left us grinnin' like a mule eatin' briars....and if you city folks never seen a mule eatin' briars with his lips all pulled back tryin' to pick the leaves off with just his teeth...you might not understand that expression...but to put it plain, we left the Carolina Ale House with full bellies, great big smiles on our faces, a take-out box, and an eagerness to tell all our family and friends what a great restaurant the Carolina Ale House is!!!!

Terry Zook (Part 4)AND THE TVs!!!! All those huge TVs...they were constantly flashin' everything from sports to dog shows to Racin'...why, my husband's eyes were more glazed than a cop eatin' doughnuts!!! It made me feel right at home...my husband with remote in hand, changin' the channels with the attention span of a goldfish! It was great! Then came the main course. Between the capital "D"..licious fall-off-the-bone ribs and the succulent BBQ chicken, we were right back to "Oooo"ing, "Mmmmm"ing, lip smackin' and being scowled at...but we didn't care! The french fries were so crispy on the outside and so hot and yummy on the inside...and the beans and coleslaw were so good that we could've played a tune without the help of the beans.

Terry Zook (Part 3)Now, my husband is quite the renowned "wing-cooker" himself, but when we took our first bites of those classic buffalo wings...well...we were doin' so much "Oooo"ing, "Mmmm"ing and lip smackin', that the people at the next table over were scowlin' and lookin' at us like we needed to "get a room." It's not our fault they didn't order the wings! My husband, of course, had to try your famous selection of beers, especially after such a hot day! He tried three different kinds and was happier than a pig in...well...you know what they say about that. I unfortunatley could not partake, as I was the "DD" for the evening.

Terry Zook (Part 2)In no time at all, Charlotte, our waitress, came to our table also with a great big smile on her face and was very courteous and helpful, since this was indeed our first meal at the Carolina Ale House....why...she was even too nice to laugh at me when I thought her name really was "Jennifer Aniston"...like her name tag said it was. Hey! I've got a good friend named "Don Johnson"...so it CAN happen! We went in thinkin' we'd just have wings...but once we took a gander at the menu...well...we ordered the classic buffalo wings as an appetizer and then ordered the "BBQ Ribs and Chicken Combo" with the french fries, beans and coleslaw as the main course.

Terry Zook (Part 1)My husband Rick and I live about 45 miles from the Carolina Ale House located in Wake Forest,NC atop a hill off of US #1. We would pass by your restaurant time after time saying, "We should stop and eat there. I heard it was a great place to eat, but it sure looks mighty expensive." Finally, on July 25, 2009, after spending a sweltering day at the Raleigh Fairgrounds Flea Market, we decided to stop at your impressive, exquisitely-expensive-looking restaurant for lunch. We walked on in, not knowing what to expect. I liked the hockey stick door handles right off! The hostesses met us with big smiles and we instantly felt at home. We got a non-smoking booth right off the bat and we said, "Now this is service!".

DOUGIE FRESHIt has become a time honored tradition, that every Sunday Mel, Tom ,and myself race through the drink special list. The last person to finish the list must pay the tab. Although one week we were unable to finish the list because the list was lenghthend to 9 drinks and a bottle of wine. Running score Doug 6... Tom 5... Ale House 1... Mel 0. Thanks Ale House!

DOUGIE FRESHI LOVE THE ALE HOUSE SO MUCH I DRESSED UP AS KENT THE BARTENDER, FROM WF, FOR HALLOWEEN! People actually thought I worked there.I wore an Austin Powers wig, black shirt with ale house logo pinned on, khaki shorts, black soxs and "Crocks." Talk about having your staff in stitches. I watched the steelers play every week and win a superbowl there. I watched all seven stanley cup games...and the Penguins won! I wish I had a picture of me and Kent it was hillarious!

Dean CollinI wanted to watch the Minnesota Vikings game. My 10 year old son wanted to watch the Seattle Seahawks game. Then we thought...Hey! Carolina Alehouse has all the games. So my wife, my son and I all went to Carolina Alehouse to watch both games. He sat angled to the Seahawks game while I sat at the same table angled to watch the Vikings game, and we ended up keeping up with both games, and of course talking to Mom! The Vikes won so I was happy! The Seahawks lost, but my son was still happy because he got to go out to eat and have some great wings! We had a great time!!

Melanie AndersonI love Carolina Ale House! They have the sweetest specials, like $2.50 drafts on every Wednesday. Thier entire staff dressed up for their 10 year anniversary retro party. It was so fun! Alan was the best waiter that night. He's the afro man in the pic. See you in Cary on Monday's for trivia.

Brad GrahamI went to the CAH passing through Raleigh one night. I got a salad and my wife got wings...kinda backwards sounding, but tis true. The food came out so incredibly fast...and it was BUSY there, too! I did sneak a bite of one of her wings and they were AWESOME.
